How to Connect FEXmagnet to Zapier

Zapier lets you connect FEXmagnet to over 6,000 apps — including Google Sheets, HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Gmail, and more. This guide shows you how to set up a "Zap" that catches every new lead and routes it wherever you need.
What you'll need: A free or paid Zapier account. The free plan supports up to 100 tasks/month. If you're on a 25-lead/week plan, the free tier covers you.
Step 1: Create a New Zap
- Log in to zapier.com and click + Create Zap (or + Create → Zaps).
- Name it something like "FEXmagnet → [Your CRM]".
Step 2: Set Up the Trigger (Webhooks by Zapier)
- For the trigger app, search for and select Webhooks by Zapier.
- Choose Catch Hook as the trigger event.
- Click Continue. Zapier will generate a custom webhook URL that looks like:
https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/12345678/abcdefg/ - Copy this URL — you'll paste it into FEXmagnet next.
Step 3: Paste the Webhook URL in FEXmagnet
- Log in to your FEXmagnet dashboard and go to Settings.
- Scroll to the Integrations section.
- Paste your Zapier webhook URL into the Zapier / Webhook field.
- Click Save Integrations.
Step 4: Send a Test & Map Fields
- Go back to Zapier and click Test trigger. Zapier will start listening for incoming data.
- In your FEXmagnet Settings, click the Send Test button next to the Zapier webhook URL. This sends a sample lead immediately.
- Zapier should pick up the test data within a few seconds. You'll see the lead fields appear. Click Continue.
Tip: The Send Test button sends a sample lead (Dorothy Williams, TX) instantly — no need to wait for a real lead or contact support.
The lead data includes these fields:

Step 5: Add Your Action
Now choose what happens when a lead comes in. Here are the most popular actions for insurance agents:
Option A: Google Sheets (Simple Lead Tracker)
- Select Google Sheets as the action app.
- Choose Create Spreadsheet Row.
- Connect your Google account and select your spreadsheet.
- Map the columns: First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone, State, Age.
- Every lead will now appear as a new row automatically.
Option B: HubSpot / Salesforce (CRM)
- Select your CRM as the action app.
- Choose Create Contact.
- Map the lead fields to your CRM's contact fields.
- Leads flow directly into your CRM pipeline.
Option C: Slack / Email (Instant Notification)
- Select Slack or Gmail as the action app.
- Choose Send Channel Message or Send Email.
- Set up a template like: "New FEXmagnet lead: {{first_name}} {{last_name}} in{{state}} — call {{phone}}"
Pro tip: You can add multiple actions to a single Zap. For example, create a Google Sheets row and send a Slack message for every lead.
Step 6: Publish Your Zap
- Review your Zap summary: Trigger (Webhooks by Zapier) → Action (your chosen app).
- Click Publish.
- Your Zap is now live. Every new FEXmagnet lead will automatically flow through.
Advanced: Multi-Step Zaps
With a paid Zapier plan, you can chain multiple actions together. A powerful setup for insurance agents:
- Catch Hook — receive lead from FEXmagnet
- Create Contact in CRM — add to your pipeline
- Send SMS via Twilio — instant text to the lead
- Send Slack Message — notify your team
- Add Row to Google Sheets — backup tracking
Troubleshooting
- Zap not triggering? Make sure it's published (turned on) and the webhook URL in FEXmagnet is exact — no extra spaces or missing characters.
- Fields showing as empty? Click "Test trigger" again in Zapier after a lead has been sent. Then re-map the fields in your action step.
- Hit task limits? Zapier's free plan allows 100 tasks/month. If you're on a 50+ lead/week plan, consider upgrading to Zapier Starter.
